Beschreibung
The car has spent most of its life in Dalarna with only two owners until 2004 when it was sold to a Saab enthusiast in Leksand. The car had been stored dry and well for many years. It was serviced, and minor rust issues underneath the sills were addressed. According to inspection history after 2012, it has only been driven around 20 km per year. The odometer reads 40,910 km. The meter might have rolled over once, which would mean a total mileage of 140,910 km. Given the fine original upholstery on the seats and the condition of the rest of the interior, we believe it is unlikely that it has rolled over. The car’s many details suggest that the odometer reading could match the actual distance driven. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this.
The engine is an original 38 hp two-stroke. It revs easily, runs strong, and has a stable idle. Easy to start. The three-speed gearbox with freewheel works fine. Well-adjusted gear positions. Convincing brakes. No other abnormal noises. Older tires with 50% tread remaining. The rubber seals are generally dry.
The car has had rust repairs on the outer edges of the floor and partially on the sills. The door bottoms appear unwelded and intact. The quality of the work is quite good. All repairs are honest and only underneath, fully visible without being covered by undercoating.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand
-
Zustand technisch
One takes delight in the sound and smell that a revving old Saab can deliver. This particular example starts easily, runs smoothly in both engine and gearbox, and feels great on the road. Unusually fine in the engine bay and trunk as well.
-
Zustand Interieur
The original upholstery on the front and rear seats is in relatively unworn condition (we have removed the seat cover from the driver’s seat). The door panels have new fabric at the top but are otherwise original, see pictures. The headliner and carpets are untouched. Wonderful design in red, white, and chrome, with many fine interior details. In excellent, user-friendly condition.
-
Zustand Exterieur
Partially repainted a long time ago. Original paint on the upper sections. Some touch-ups on the lower parts (see pictures) but nothing that detracts from the overall fine impression. A solid and beautiful, relatively untouched original car. Nice surfaces and details, good door gaps, and no rust provide a good overall impression.

Zustand gesamt
Nicely maintained in good condition. The desire to own it grows after inspecting all the details and test driving the car. This is a fun hobby car that is ready to be used and enjoyed this summer.

Fakten zum Modell
With the 93, Saab took new strides – into the world! A new engine and coil spring suspension all around, as well as new body colors and a more luxurious interior style, fundamentally renewed the brand. Designer Sixten Sason showcased his genius with a new “Italy-inspired” nose and a reworked silhouette. Few other cars could match the 93’s sharp driving feel (the steering is magical!). With a daring driving style, the everyday car of the Swedish people was also a winner on gravel and track. This was thanks to its low weight, good weight distribution, front-wheel drive, and rev-happy engine.
Lagerort und Info zur Besichtigung
