Beschreibung
Designer Janne Richter was responsible for the styling, while Lars-Inge Johansson performed the sheet metal work. When the car rolled out again, it was both lower and wider. It was lowered by 8 cm and widened by 30 cm. The car was completely rebuilt in sheet metal, and the welding seams were lead-filled. Both the fenders and doors were widened.
In simple terms, Janne Richter's design was based on stretching out the car's original lines. The spoiler on the trunk lid was also built entirely in sheet metal. The car attracted a lot of attention, and the result was published in Bilsport magazine no. 10, 1987.
The odometer now reads 76745 kilometers, and we have no reason to believe otherwise. The car has had 7 registered owners since new. Since 1994, it has had 2 users. The current owner bought it in 2000 and restored it to the 1986 Svempa Edition. The work was done so well that the car was published in Bilsport magazine again in 2020.
The car comes with construction pictures from the customization in 1986, the original instruction book, delivery order, and warranty certificate from 1986. The original spare wheel is missing. A tip for the next owner is to find the same type of mobile phone that Svempa had installed in 1986. That would be the icing on the cake.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand

Zustand technisch
The engine is the car's original 10-valve 5-cylinder 2.2-liter inline engine. The engine, which has a reported output of 200 hp, is equipped with K-jetronic and a turbo with intercooler. It has a 5-speed manual transmission and, of course, 4WD. It runs smoothly and feels right. A major service was performed in 2018, including replacement of the timing belt and wear parts.

Zustand Interieur
There is a small stain on the headliner near the sunroof. The headliner could be made smoother and neater if the rear part of the headliner is pulled up slightly. Please see the pictures. The quattro interior has leather steering wheel and leather/textile seats in flawless condition. The car is equipped with a period-correct Pioneer cassette player. The trunk is in equally excellent condition.

Zustand Exterieur
The car was disassembled and repainted in 2008. It looks just as beautiful today as it did when Svempa built it in 1986. There are a few small bubbles on a limited area, on the lower edge of the right threshold, just in front of the rear wheel, as shown in the pictures. There is a clear paint protection film installed to protect vulnerable body parts from stone chips. The hood comes from the Sport Quattro model. The wheels are the ones that were fitted in 1986, now refurbished and equipped with classic, newly manufactured Pirelli P7 tires in dimensions of 225/50-15 in the front and 285/40-15 in the rear. The wheels are of the split type.

Fakten zum Modell
Between 1981 and 1985, the Audi quattro in various forms won 23 World Rally Championship (WRC) victories, including 8 that were won by our own Stig Blomqvist. A 10-valve engine, like this one, was capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, with a top speed of 220 km/h.
In 1985, the Audi quattro had a price tag of 236,000 SEK. A new Saab Turbo Aero 16V cost the same that year, at 131,000 SEK. A Volvo 245 Turbo went for 106,000 SEK, and perhaps the most comparable car, the Porsche 911 Coupé with 231 horsepower, cost 231,000 SEK.
