Description
The car was purchased at auction in the autumn of 2021 by a man who tragically died shortly afterwards. Due to different circumstances, he never had time to start it up. The estate is currently auctioning off the car. The car has been parked for many years at Malmö Technical Museum, and after a complete refurbishment in the 1990s, it has never been started.
The odometer has been reset as part of the renovation.

Exterior condition
There are a few paint blisters here and there on the car, as shown in the photos, but the paint is in excellent shape overall. Dry cracks in the gaiters and rubber under the car must be inspected.

Facts about the model
MG TF är den sista modellen från MG i den populära T-serien som inleddes med TA under 1930-talet. Förutom dessa två finns även TB, TC och TD. Hela T-serien har mycket gemensamt till exempel att de har en kaross byggd på stomme av askträ monterad på en ram.
TF är en lätt modernisering av föregångaren MG TD. I Huvudsak är det karossen som blivit en aning mer strömlinjeformad med lutande grill. Annars är modellerna närmast identiska. Motorn är på 1250 cc och 58 hk i standardutförande men eftermontering av kompressor för att höja effekten är relativt vanligt. Den har beteckningen XPAG och är vanlig i flera gamla andra BMC-bilar. Konstruktionen är enkel med stötstänger och två ventiler per cylinder.
TF tillverkades under 1953-55 och under sista året kunde den fås med motorn uppborrad till 1500 cc och därmed ökade effekten till 63 hk. De flesta av dessa bilar gick till USA. I Sverige finns idag drygt 100 stycken TF kvar varav ett tio tal har 1500 cc motor. Modellen är förhållandevis eftertraktad. Toppfarten anges med originalutväxling till 142 Km/h och motorn varvar då cirka 6600 rpm. Växellådan är fyrväxlad med osynkad etta.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
