Audi S8 4,2 quattro — 1998

• Mechanical condition

  The car runs and drives, but the engine requires attention—either the oil cooler or the cylinder head gasket needs to be replaced. All electric features are operational, including windows, mirrors, seats, radio, and the roof, though the folding function of one mirror is currently non-functional. The AC has not been tested, and the heater is not functioning properly. However, the instrument panel and dashboard are fully functional, with a pixelated display on the radio.
  
  The alloy wheels are in good condition with only minor scuffs, and the car includes new summer tires on 20-inch Audi wheels, as well as new studded winter tires on 18-inch aftermarket wheels. Additionally, there is a minor crack in the plastic engine cover.

• Interior condition

  Interior is clean and well-kept, with age-related wear mainly visible on the driver’s seat bolster and a few small holes on both the driver’s and passenger’s seats (see pictures). Aside from these minor issues, the cabin is tidy and well-maintained, featuring clean door cards, rear seats, carpets, and headliner. There is a stain on the rear boot carpet and a repair on the spare wheel lid (also shown in pictures).

• Exterior condition

  Bodywork is straight, clean, and free from rust issues due to its all-aluminum construction. The underbody is also clean and undamaged, with only minor surface rust on some components. The paintwork is bright and presentable, though the clear coat has lifted in areas on the bonnet, and there are a few small blisters around the door pillars and edges (see pictures). The bumpers have been repainted and display a few small blisters, indicating that the front bumper may have been replaced at some point.

• General condition

  These cars are highly sought after, with few available for sale these days. This one offers a great winter project for those familiar with these models, though the engine issues will need to be addressed before it can be driven properly.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
