This Bel Air was imported from the UK in 2011. The car has had four owners. As far as we know, this car was the previous owner's pride and joy. However, when the man fell ill, the car was left standing in a barn for a while before the widow sold it to the current owner in 2017. It has been taken off the road in 2023, but has been minimally used between 2017-2023 due to lack of time. According to the Swedish Transport Agency, there are only 6 registered examples of this 1953 Bel Air convertible in Sweden today. The car is equipped with, among other things, an electric hydraulic convertible top, full bench seat in the front, automatic transmission, fire extinguisher, and a straight 6-cylinder engine. The car has also been converted to a 12-volt system, except for the electrical system for the convertible top.

The engine runs well and the gearbox shifts as it should. The convertible top mechanism works, albeit somewhat slowly.

The front and back sofas are in good condition. The interior, otherwise, is in a used condition where some panels need repairing and others need to be reattached, see pictures. The glass on the speedometer is cracked.

The exterior is in good working condition. The side window on the right side has cracks in one corner, see picture. The sunroof has a few holes on the side parts. There are some door slams on the trim. One hubcap is missing. The chrome around the side windows and on the rear bumper is in slightly worse condition.

Bel-Air is an affluent suburb of Los Angeles, and that's where the name for the most luxurious model of Chevrolet comes from. In 1953, Chevrolet had three model series. The base version was called the "150 series," the intermediate series was the "210 Series," and the most luxurious series was the Bel-Air. The Bel-Air stood out with its higher level of equipment, both in terms of interior and options such as automatic transmission, radio, and heater, which were standard in these models. The engine, a 3.9-liter inline-six known as the Blue Flame, was a classic powerplant produced from 1929 to 1962. The transmission in this particular model is a two-speed Powerglide.
Within the Bel-Air series, customers could choose from four different body styles: 2-door coupe, 2-door sedan, 4-door sedan, and the most exclusive of them all, the 2-door convertible. As the 1953 model year, a total of 24,047 units were built in both the Bel-Air and 210 Series.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
